We believe the protections already enacted in California should not be limited to one state. Our goal is to help bring similar, proven privacy protections to:

  • Other states, through state legislatures and attorneys general

  • The federal level, so all Americans have consistent, enforceable rights

We are not proposing an untested idea. We are advocating for broader adoption of a model that already exists and is already working.

To support the federal DELETE Act:

2025–2026 national legislature (119th Congress), you should contact the bill's sponsors and the leadership of the committees where the legislation is currently being reviewed.

1. Official California Platform (Live Now)

The operational website created by California's version of the act is called the Delete Request and Opt-out Platform (DROP).

  • Website: privacy.ca.gov/drop

  • Function: It allows California residents to submit a single request to delete their personal data from over 500 registered data brokers.

2. Federal Legislation Support (Lobbying)

For the federal DELETE Act (H.R. 2612 / S. 1287) currently in Congress, the primary official website to track and support it is Congress.gov.

  • Senate Bill Tracking: S.1287 - DELETE Act

  • House Bill Tracking: H.R.2612 - DELETE Act

  • Lobbying Tool: You can use GovTrack.us to set up alerts or "call your representative" prompts specifically for this bill.

3. Advocacy Organization Websites

National privacy organizations often create dedicated "action" pages or microsites to help citizens lobby for the act. You can find pre-written messages and petitions on:

  • Consumer Reports (Advocacy): ConsumerReports.org/advocacy

  • Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF): EFF.org/action

  • Public Knowledge: An organization that officially supports the federal DELETE Act.

4. Proposed Federal Dashboard

If the federal DELETE Act passes, the legislation mandates that the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) create a centralized online dashboard. While it does not yet have a public URL in 2026, it would likely be hosted under the FTC.gov domain, similar to the "National Do Not Call Registry".
